Since the 50s, all the major manufacturers of watches presented a type of watch that collectors and fans immediately renamed “flying saucer” (circular wing) or “UFO”. The peculiarity is in the perfectly circular design, accompanied by the complete absence of loops. The strap engages below the actual case giving it the appearance of a flying saucer that is “backed” above the wrist. This construction ensures a great clean look with visual attention focused on the dial, along with the ability to embellish the same case edges with engravings or precious stones.

With the Discobolo watch, Zannetti reinvents the flying saucer, giving it a typically Classical and Roman style.

The engravings on the inner border, those on the back, and the entirely handmade dial with translucent enamels make this a truly unique timepiece, a luxury watch created from the hands of the best professionals.

Simple but sophisticated, this is a high watchmaking timepiece, where creativity and craftsmanship have fused to realize an object of this caliber. Each of these luxurious watches requires the knowledge of Art Masters, Engravers, Enamelers, Miniaturists and Master Watchmakers.

The result is unique, each luxury watch different from the others, reason why the production is naturally limited since it would be impossible to create more than two Discobolo a month, for a total amount of twenty pieces a year.
