The Maison Caran d’Ache is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the man’s first flight into space, through the “Yuri Gagarin” limited edition. On April 12th 1961, during the Vostok 1 mission, famous Soviet cosmonaut, Yuri Gagarin, completed a full orbit of the earth’s circumference. The exceptional writing instruments bearing his name symbolically embody the memory of this human accomplishment and the sense of wonderment at having touched the stars.

“Orbiting Earth in the spaceship, I saw how beautiful our planet is. People, let us preserve and enhance this beauty, not destroy it!” – This historical message written by Gagarin is engraved in the black lacquer clothing the pen.
