The Link Series 1 rollerball pen, produced in 1001 pieces, numbered 0001 to 1001, can be used with a special roller-point cartridge, a fibre cartridge or a roller fluid cartridge, to offer a level of writing comfort that is close to a fountain pen. Each writing instrument is delicately numbered on one of the leaves of mother-of-pearl. The rhodium-coating on the metal elements of the writing instruments gives them a wonderful sparkle and provides excellent protection. This rare metal, particularly difficult to extract, is some three time more expensive than gold.
