Jesus Pens | Hand Painted | Sterling Silver | 18k Gold
Among the most beautiful creations Tibaldi has ever produced, the Jesus Pen draws inspiration from Carl Bloch's masterpiece, The Crucifixion of Christ. A reproduction of the painting, made by the Italian artist, Lorena Straffi, decorates the pen barrel and serves as the background for a skillfully etched overlay boasting the image of Jesus on the Cross with the Virgin Mary at his feet.
Renowned Danish painter Carl Heinrich Bloch was born on May 23, 1834, in Copenhagen. Although his parents wanted their son to enter a respectable profession, Carl's interest was drawing and painting, and he was driven by the idea of becoming an artist. Bloch's love and admiration for Rembrandt played a major role in his style, while his choice of subject has led to recognition that Bloch ranks among the greatest artists to interpret the life and death of Christ.
