Now the famous Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is the subject of a dazzling new Montegrappa Limited Edition. To create Harry Potter: Hogwarts, the craftspeople behind the world’s most magical writing instruments have reached deep into their bag of tricks.

Beneath a red cabochon that recalls the Philosopher’s (a.k.a. Sorcerer’s) Stone, low-relief engraving, guilloché and vermeil distinguish a connoisseur-grade pen steeped in Hogwarts heraldry. Arranged around a jet-black core, precious metals form a tartan grid comprising the shields of the famous school and its four rival houses: Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Slytherin.

The Hogwarts coat of arms is recreated on each face of the barrel using artisanal, lost wax casting and gold vermeil. Surrounding it are the crests of Hogwarts’ rival houses: Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Slytherin, with house colours realised in vitreous enamel applied by hand to exquisite guilloché and bas-relief finishes.

Vivid vitreous enamel is used to bring the school’s houses to life, while banners encircling the blind cap recite their mottos. Patience or wit? Courage or cunning? Use them to inspire your own writing. A vacant panel on the cap invites you to imagine your own engraved initials on the Hogwarts honors board.

Created entirely by hand, the Harry Potter: Hogwarts collection contains many of the writing world’s best-kept secrets. In fountain pen mode, an 18K gold engraved nib is paired with an ebonite feed and our prefect-level piston-fill mechanism. Watch as it draws ink with magical precision.

These limited-edition handmade sterling-silver fountain pens and rollerballs are available in editions of 142 pieces each – a reference to the number of staircases in Hogwarts Castle.
