All four Hogwarts houses are represented on the cap and barrel in low-relief engraving and guilloché – illuminated with vivid vitreous enamel. The banners and mottos of Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin encircle the blind cap.

A sterling-silver edition comprises 142 fountain pens and rollerballs respectively – a reference to the staircases of Hogwarts castle. In 18K gold, seven fountain pens and four rollerballs represent the school’s seven floors and four student houses.
