In a spirit of timeless heritage, the Geneva-based company has created a new line of leather goods in collaboration with the designer Isaac Reina. “La Collection Cuir” includes pen cases, notepads, folders, and luggage which revisit the Caran d’Ache codes and reflect a chic and relaxed lifestyle.

Caran d'Ache and Issac Reina

Isaac Reina brings a new philosophy to Caran d’Ache accessories.
To create the “La Collection Cuir”, Caran d’Ache combined its values with the philosophy of Isaac Reina, a gifted and internationally renowned Spanish designer.

With his architecturally-inspired approach, this intuitive creator gives the items in this collection a very contemporary feel.

A short biography
Isaac was born in Barcelona in 1968. He began studying architecture in Barcelona in 1986 before shifting his focus to fashion. Towards the end of the 1990s, he decided to settle in Paris. In 1998, he joined Hermès as an assistant to Véronique Nichanian, developing the men’s collections. He created his own, eponymous brand of leather goods and accessories in 2006. The first Isaac Reina boutique also opened its doors in 2006, at 12 rue de Thorigny in the Marais district.

His concept
“I try to create simple objects, as basic as possible, with no pretensions whatsoever. Objects with almost industrial forms and a mass production aesthetic but produced by hand with an emphasis on quality. I try to distance myself from the traditional iconography used in the luxury industry. What is of the utmost important is a noble material, a remarkable production process and the choice of the right proportions.”
