Description
Il Foro Bonaparte
The fervent climate of entrepreneurship and enthusiasm which flourished during the Cisalpine Republic, and the sense of promise fomented by Napoleon's genius, also gave rise to the idea of the Foro Bonaparte, the grandiose and never implemented project with which the Milanese hoped to glorify the emperor and their city, illustrated here through the magnificent original designs of its creator, the architect Giovanni Antonio Antolini.
