Description
Florence lost (first volume)
The retiring and forgotten Fabio Borbottoni (1820-1901) painted an extraordinary corpus of 120 works giving a fascinating and detailed image of a city - the grand-ducal Florence of the first half of the 19th century — which had already largely vanished even in his own day. His dream-like views inspired Italo Calvino to write his wonderful introductory pages. The two volumes include the entire series of paintings, together with the historical entries by the painter himself.

Florence lost (first volume)
