To celebrate its 80 years of existence, the Swiss company Caran d'Ache
has produced its classic writing instrument, the ECRIDOR, in solid gold in a limited series of 80.

One of the best-known ballpoint pens produced by Caran d'Ache is the Ecridor. To mark its 80th birthday, the renowned Swiss company offers this classic writing instrument in a solid gold luxury edition, limited to 80 pieces. The exclusive character of the pen springs from the contrast between the originality of its design motif and the classic purity of its shape. This legend among writing instruments is decorated with a highly artistic reproduction of an original hand engraving from the 1930s. The design gives a special charm to the anniversary Ecridor and is comprised of three different styles. The first two are reproduced alternately on the six facets of the body. The third enhances the push button which has "Caran dâ€™Ache" engraved around it. The pen is presented in a retro-style wooden case.

Each pen carries an individual number and is hallmarked "CdA". It is also engraved with "Gold 750" which guarantees the gold content of its alloy (750/1000). After finishing, each ballpoint is submitted to the Federal Office of Precious Metals which confirms the accuracy of these marks by applying the official Swiss hallmark.
