This beautiful desk set is crafted with a variety of semi precious stones that are individually hand carved to represent each country. It comes in your color choice of marine blue or black. The gemstone globe measures 4"D and features more than 25 gemstones. The set is complete with pen, letter opener, business card holder and clock. Cleaning/Care: On the globe use a soft cloth with a small amount of rubbing alcohol to shine and remove fingerprints. Do not use the rubbing alcohol on metal parts its too harsh. On the metal stand or arch, use a soft cotton cloth with a very small amount of hand lotion to remove fingerprints. Use a clean, dry cloth to wipe away the lotion and shine.

Each gemstone globe is handmade and takes approximately 3 weeks to produce, regardless of the size. Semi-precious stones are selected from countries around the world and, where possible, depict the country of origin. The oceans are created from crushed lapis lazuli, black onyx or another gemstone depending on style; they are mixed with resin and dye for consistency.

The globe is then buffed and polished to form a smooth surface before the meridian and date lines are added with a fine gold or silver thread. The names of the countries and geographical features are then added and the globe is sealed in a protective resin coating.
